Responsibilities include community relations, overseeing Community Development Block Grants, Open Space and Parks and Recreation facilities. The committee communicates with the Police, Fire Company and local organizations to plan and advertise community based events. The committee also oversees the borough newsletter, borough website, Facebook page, and any other social media. It will make recommendations to the council for programs to benefit the community and promote volunteerism and creation of local groups for various community issues and concerns such as the Activities Committee, the Heritage Society, the Penndel-Hulmeville Parade Committee, and others either in existence or not named here or will be created.
