Budget & Finance Committee

Responsibilities include any/all aspects of Borough finances (all funds, all savings, checking, and special accounts). Review spending regularly and report to Council with a monthly review of the borough finances and the state of revenue and expenditures versus budget to see if adjustments need to be made. Make recommendations where needed, and review any project proposed by other committees for cost comparison to current budget and/or finances. Also, include careful review and approval of all bills and keep expenditures in line with proposed budget. Keep Council aware of agreed expenditures and advise when same are expended. Prepare annual budget and schedule budget meetings. Responsible for non-uniform employee issues along with the borough employee handbook. All changes and/or recommendations are to be reviewed by the solicitor before being presented to Council and before any action is taken.
